Fratarca Canyon requires a greater degree of preparation as water has carved this canyon into some of the most majestic walls in the Julian Alps – Loska Stena. On three of the waterfalls, the use of ropes is mandatory, while into the other pools, we will jump or slide on the natural slides. More concentration is required in this canyon due to the use of ropes, although it is not technically difficult. The walking required is not overly difficult.

Enjoy the spectacular head-spinning 45-meter Parabola waterfall, which you will descend by rope. The remaining waterfalls range in height from 2 to 22 meters.

On your canyoning trip, you will experience pure fun, but you will be soaked from head to toe. You will venture along streams carving passages through the side of the mountain, jump into pools at the base of gorgeous waterfalls, and explore the enchanting canyons etched into the mountains of the Bovec region.
For your canyoning adventure, you will need to leave your fear of heights at home in anticipation of the adrenaline adventure that awaits which will exhilarate you with swimming, plunging into deep pools, and descending over waterfalls with the use of ropes. Canyon Susec is suitable for complete beginners, while the remaining canyons of the Bovec region are more demanding. We recommended that before you attempt the more difficult canyons, you go canyoning in Susec where guide can assess whether any of the more demanding canyons are suitable choices for you. In any case, abseiling experience is welcome.

Your tour will begin with pickup either at the cruise passenger terminal or at your hotel, then depart with your guide for a bike riding adventure. Predjama Castle is situated in the middle of a towering cliff, a mere 9 km from Postojna Cave. Picturesque, magnificent, defiant, mysterious and impregnable, it has been dominating the surrounding area, perched high up in the 123-meter high cliff, for more than 800 years. It is listed among the Guinness World Records as the largest cave castle in the world.

Predjama Castle with its location and mysterious tunnels is truly something special. It impresses visitors with how well the natural cave and the man-made castle walls are interwoven, sometimes making it difficult to see where the former ends and the latter begin. Predjama Castle is also a Guinness world record-holder for being the largest cave castle in the world. It is extremely well preserved, as it was impossible to conquer it in the middle ages. The castle offers a unique insight into the construction techniques and ingenuity of medieval people who came here searching for a safe haven right at the entrance to the cave. During a siege in the 15th century, the castle offered refuge to its most famous and notorious owner - Erazem of Predjama. The appealing and inspiring legend about the brave robber baron Erazem, who had remained undefeated until he was betrayed by one of his servants, still lives on in the common lore, and rightly so as the gallant knight resisted the besiegers inside his safe castle for over a year without any major problems.

Besides original furniture there is also an medieval Armoury museum inside the Castle. The tour takes you inside the Castle and behind into the cave in the cliff. Audioguides are provided in 17 different languages, with extra legends for the most curious about the secrets of the Castle. The tour of the Castle takes about 60 minutes, but you can always take your own pace and timing.
